With Version 1.4 of the goalgamiPro for Salesforce app, the following improvements have been introduced.
- Default account type mapping for batch copy of existing financial account data.
- User-level control for copying existing financial account data.
Default account type mapping setting for batch copy of existing financial account data.
Now, when configuring your Salesforce org to allow batch copy of existing financial account data to goalgamiPro, you have the ability to specify a 'Default Mapping' value for a Financial Account Type Mapping custom settting record. This allows all existing financial accounts in your Salesforce org that have account types that are not explicitly mapped to a goalgamiPro account type in the Financial Account Type Mapping custom setting record to be mapped to this default account type.
To set the 'Default Mapping' for a Financial Account Type Mapping custom setting record:
- Go to Setup -> Build -> Develop -> Custom Settings.
Click on the ‘Manage’ link next to ‘Financial Account Type Mapping’ label.
2. Click on the ‘Manage’ link next to ‘Financial Account Type Mapping’ label.
3. Click on the 'Edit' link next to the Name of the Financial Account Type Mapping record.
4. Enter a goalgamiPro account type in the 'Default Mapping' field. All existing financial accounts in your Salesforce org with an account type that doesn't have an explicit mapping to a goalgamiPro account type will get mapped to this default account type.
NOTE: The account type you enter must be one of the goalgamiPro account types listed on the left. The account type does need to be spelled exactly as it appears.
5. Click 'Save'.
User-level control for copying existing financial account data.
In order to use the batch copy feature in goalgamiPro to copy all existing financial accounts in your Salesforce org to goalgamiPro, you must enable access to goalgamiPro for each Salesforce User that is licensed to use the goalgamiPro app and owns financial accounts to be copied.
First, you will need to add the ‘goalgamiPro App Access’ checkbox field to the User page layout. To edit the User page layout,
- Go to Setup -> Administer -> Manager Users -> Users.
2. Click on the Name of a User you want to enable.
3. Click on the 'Edit Layout' link in the upper right corner.
4. Drag the 'goalgamiPro App Access' field somewhere onto the User page layout.
5. Click 'Save'.
Now, you can check the 'goalgamiPro App Access' field for all Users that are licensed to use goalgamiPro. Enabling 'goalgamiPro App Access' for a User means that all existing financial accounts in your Salesforce org that are owned by the User can now be copied over to goalgamiPro using the batch copy feature with goalgamiPro. If the User is not enabled, then the financial accounts they own will not be copied.
To enable 'goalgamiPro App Access' for a User:
1. Go to Setup -> Administer -> Manager Users -> Users.
2. Click on the 'Edit' link next to the User you want to enable.
3. Check the 'goalgamiPro App Access' field.
4. Click 'Save'.
