With Version 1.3 of the goalgamiPro for Salesforce app, the following features have been introduced.
- Org-Level Settings
- APIs to access and use the goalgamiPro Household Balance Sheet calculation from an external application.
With Version 1.3, the 'goalgamiPro User Preferences' tab has been replaced by a 'goalgamiPro Settings' tab.
From the 'goalgamiPro Settings' tab, you can create an 'Organization Level Settings' record that defines default economic assumptions, firm contact information, and report content that all plans will start with when they are first created. An organization can only have one 'Organization Level Settings' record.
An org can still create 'User Preferences' records. This type of record defines default values for a specific user so plans created by that user will start with those default values instead of the organization's defaults.
Whether or not your org has defined an 'Organization Level Settings' record or 'User Preferences' records for specific users, users always have the option of changing a specific plan's values when editing the plan.
NOTE: You do not have to provide an 'Organization Level Settings' record or 'User Preferences' records for your organization. The goalgamiPro app comes with system defaults that will get used for each plan when the plan is initially created. Users can then change the values for each individual plan as needed.
Household Balance Sheet APIs
The other big enhancement with Version 1.3 is the introduction of a set of APIs that allow 3rd party developers to call the goalgamiPro Household Balance Sheet calculation from an external application or another Salesforce app and get back the results in XML so that they can be rendered in the other application as the developer sees fit. A separate developer guide will be provided to explain how to utilize the Household Balance Sheet APIs from an external application.
In order for a plan to be available to an external application, the 'Available to Other Applications' checkbox must be checked for the plan.
The following bugs were fixed with Version 1.3:
Tax Filing Status not getting set correctly in report.
Balance Sheet requests not running properly if Account Name is too long.
With Version 1.3, we have introduced a 'Tax Filing Status' field on the Plan Edit page so you can set the tax filing status for the plan and have it show up correctly in the report.
We have also fixed the issue where the Balance Sheet was not returning results if the Account Name is greater than 40 characters.
